Silence Wang’s「One Hundred Thousand Volts 2.0」Concert Tour establishes an immersive construct rooted in the conceptual narrative of RomanceCity, a parallel world born from his namesake album. Charged with the ethos “Love Revives All,” the design presents a fully realised urban vision, integrating technical prowess with poetic intent. Awarded Design of the Year in Conceptual Design for Exhibition & Events at the 2025 London Design Awards, the project unfolds as a physical and emotional territory sculpted in light, machinery, and architectural scale.
The stage design centres on a monumental power station castle, anchored by a 20-meter rotating core - the largest of its kind in China’s concert history. The rotation guides the audience through an evolving landscape, mimicking the city’s day-to-night cycle and extending the emotional tempo of the performance.
This central mechanism allows for complete LED transformation or structural hybridisation, shifting the stage between fluid digital space and commanding physical form. Each transition maintains narrative continuity while adjusting atmosphere and perspective.
RomanceCity’s skyline includes four towering power structures, connected by simulated electric currents that animate a networked identity. These arcs not only generate visual cohesion but also reinforce the illusion of a functioning urban grid. A 35-meter lightning bolt runway extends from the main platform, culminating in dual mechanical arms with the capacity to form a 24-meter LED bridge, currently unmatched in concert engineering. This mechanism expands the performance zone while preserving the stage’s conceptual unity, offering spectators spatial intimacy with large-scale theatrical impact.
