In a remarkable fusion of gaming culture and wedding design, a young couple's wedding was transformed into an immersive League of Legends experience. With the expertise of Dreamaker Wedding Planning Co., the event My Genie was more than just a ceremony; it was an intricate realisation of the couple's shared love for the popular esports game. By blending elements of augmented reality (AR) with creative, detailed designs, the wedding venue became a tangible representation of the magical world from League of Legends, providing an unforgettable journey for friends and family alike.
The philosophy behind this wedding extended far beyond the traditional notions of matrimony. Rather than focusing solely on the moment of exchanging vows, the design embraced the idea of creating a personal world for the couple — a symbolic space they could always revisit, filled with reflections of their past, present, and future together. To achieve this vision, the octagonal dining hall of their manor was carefully chosen and transformed into a space reminiscent of the Ionian Enchanted Forest, a mystical setting from the game. Through the use of natural elements like plants, flowing water, and hidden tables, the design brought to life the serene and magical atmosphere, immersing guests as though they were feasting among champions in the forest.
The structural design further emphasised the game's influence. Classic quotes from League of Legends champions were visualised in the architecture, creating a space where the digital fantasy of the game materialised in a three-dimensional form. The abundant use of flowers, trees, and interactive elements such as lighting and dry ice elevated the sense of wonder. The lighting design, in particular, played a key role in simulating sunlight filtering through the forest canopy, adding a sacred glow to the venue. Each element, from the towering trees to the mystical city-states, contributed to the overarching magical atmosphere.
As the couple stepped into this mesmerising world, they began a symbolic journey along Anivia's glowing path. Their adventure led them through a mystical forest, where sleeping dragons stood sentinel, guarding the way. Their vows were exchanged beneath the powerful presence of the ancient, towering tree, a symbol of unity and strength. My Genie was more than just a wedding; it was a fusion of their love and shared passion for League of Legends. By blending digital elements with reality, the event became an unforgettable moment, crafted with intricate fantasy and immersive design, mirroring the grandeur of the game itself.
