Hi! I'm Te-Hsin Hsieh. I am currently a college student majoring in architectural design. Ever since childhood, I have had a natural sensitivity to space. During high school, I began exploring related fields and discovered a deep interest in design.
2What does being recognised in the London Design Awards mean to you?
This award means a great deal to me. It shows that my design is not only something I personally adore, but it has also been acknowledged by others.
3How has this achievement impacted your career, team, or agency, and what opportunities has it brought so far?
This achievement has positively influenced my career, affirming my efforts and helping me understand my true potential.
4What role does experimentation play in your creative process? Can you share an example?
Experimentation is essential; it marks the inception of my ideas, the creative process, and the satisfaction of completing a design.
5What's the most unusual source of inspiration you've ever drawn from for a project?
For this project, I developed several different conceptual models. Some were created casually, while others were the result of careful thought, and some were inspired by sudden ideas. The most unusual source of inspiration came from my final concept model, where I combined the "shadows" of all my previous concepts into a unique design.
6What’s one thing you wish more people understood about the design process?
Honestly, I don’t feel the need for others to understand my design process because everyone is unique.
7How do you navigate the balance between meeting client expectations and staying true to your ideas?
I aim to design with a practical approach that balances creativity and real-world constraints.
8What were the challenges you faced while working on your award-winning design, and how did you overcome them?
The main challenge I faced was likely the language barrier. As a native Chinese speaker, working on a project entirely in English proved to be quite difficult.
9How do you recharge your creativity when you hit a creative block?
My only response is repetition—I continue to create without stopping.
10What personal values or experiences do you infuse into your designs?
I don't incorporate personal values or experiences into my designs. For me, design exists in its own world, and I prefer not to let outside elements interfere with that creativity.
11What is an advice that you would you give to aspiring designers aiming for success?
If you can't even try, perhaps design isn't for you.
12If you could collaborate with any designer, past or present, who would it be and why?
Antoni Gaudí is noteworthy for his impressive and unique designs.

Currently, there isn't a particular question that I wish people would ask about my work.
