The Celestor electric guitar, designed by Morten Bau for Baum Guitars, is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship and innovative design. This instrument captures the essence of a lifetime's influence, merging aesthetics and playability into a seamless experience that delights both visually and musically.
Baum Guitars' Nordic heritage, which values product longevity, is evident in the Celestor. This guitar combines high-end materials, superior build quality, and timeless design, ensuring durability and relevance through years of use and evolving trends. The design also draws inspiration from the bold characteristics of the 60s and 70s vintage cars, integrating these influences into a modern instrument.
The design process of the Celestor is holistic, with every element contributing to its playability and sound. The extended cut on the lower horn enhances accessibility to the upper frets, while the thinner body reduces weight and provides a slimmer neck joint. The neck, made of roasted maple, offers increased stability and reduces the need for frequent adjustments, making it a reliable companion for touring musicians.
Rooted in Baum’s philosophy of functionality and high-grade materials, the Celestor combines these principles with bold design elements inspired by 60s European car aesthetics. The minimalistic lines are maximised to emphasise confidence and elegance, resulting in a striking and timeless design.
The Celestor features top-quality materials, including roasted maple, mahogany, and rosewood for the body and neck. The hardware, crafted from solid brass and nickel, along with custom-voiced Goldsound® Verve™ pickups, contributes to the guitar's unique and versatile sound suitable for various music genres.
The body contour of the Celestor leans forward, providing comfort for both standing and seated playing. Its lightweight and resonant body, combined with a C-profiled neck, ensures a comfortable playing experience. The precisely engineered hardware, including Baum Precision Tuners™ and Baum TrueTone Tremolo™, enhances the guitar's functionality, balance, and overall style.
