That familiar feeling when one returns to their living quarters after a long day is a feeling like no other that stresses immediately seeps through the body. The following are exemplary winners who strive to provide that exact feeling of comfort and happiness to its clients.
Monumental Residences
Located in populous Madeira Island, Portugal, the Monumental Residences development was conceived with the idea of transforming a large plot of land blessed with vegetable gardens and banana tress to a lively urban center that emanates originality and charisma. This residential area rests on a steep slope providing a stellar view of the city.
The futuristic living space instills green into its recreational areas and footpaths and also relies on solar exposure for electricity and is also within close proximity of social areas that would undoubtedly draw in tourists. The building is described to be an analogy of boiling lava invading the island has formed curvilinear layers which is certainly proved to be quite a compelling view from above and from the side which simultaneously acts as a desirable feature of said residence.
YUNĒ Guangzhou
From afar, YUNĒ Guangzhou is an elegant and graceful development that celebrates artistry as its decorated with graphical elements of its local landmark Canton Tower in China all while to be described to be floating into the clouds. The project preaches sustainability as it utilizes aluminum plates as its primary material as they are 100% recyclable and would not pose a threat to the surrounding environment.
With a monochromatic palette of silver grey, light grey, deep grey and the touch of champagne is the finishing touch that exudes the building into a place of regal that promotes tranquility. The building will also be furnished with multiple facilities and recreational activities which includes a yoga studio, a multi-functional fitness studio that comes with private trainers, a water, art gallery and more. The function of these facilities is to enrich and convenience the residential community with varying lifestyles.
The Bund Garden
A marvel of architecture, interior, fine craftsmanship, design languages and materials application, The Bund Garden overlooks the scenic Huangpu River in China which is only 500 metres away from the city’s golden age development. Taking considerate note of the local villas that comes with gardens, the designers are able to incorporate inner gardens in the building for residents who find enlightenment and solace in strolling about amongst the greenery.
A chamfered corner is designed into the tower buildings, podiums, corridors, door heads and enclosure walls which is then adorned with curved glass when combined will embody a subtle fusion of a classic and modernity. The master planning takes into consideration of the surrounding environment that promotes a sense of openness along the street and weakens the illusion of an oppressive feeling that exists when residing in high density high-rise apartments.
