Q1. Could you share with us your background and expertise in the field of hospitality and tourism?
In the past year, I was involved in the interior design of hotels and touristic lodgings. I am fascinated by the world of hospitality and it gives me great satisfaction to create experiences. The different sectors I have been involved in have given me great expertise and experience in different areas of interior design.
Q2. Could you share a memorable moment or highlight from your time as a judge for the iLuxury Awards?
It's satisfying to see and evaluate beautiful interiors/exteriors, while the greatest joy is discovering spaces you never imagined, and designers who think outside the box are what give value to the awards. It's a real pleasure to be a part of the jury panel of iLuxury Awards.
Q3. How has being a part of the iLuxury Awards jury panel impacted your perspective on the luxury hospitality industry?
I observe trends around the world to keep myself informed so that I can be as close to a fair assessment as possible.
Q4. What criteria or factors do you consider most important when evaluating entries for the iLuxury Awards?
First of all, the overall composition must be in harmony, whether it is a modern space or a classic one. In addition, the materials should be identified with luxury and combined with mastery. It is good construction details that make the difference. Finally, a luxury interior/exterior must be given through a good photo shoot and a professional photographer. Spaces with bad photographs should not be accepted for evaluation.
Q5. Can you describe the most challenging aspect of being a judge for the iLuxury Awards and how you overcame it?
I will dwell on two points. First of all, a difficult time is when I have to evaluate projects that should not even exist for evaluation. Secondly, another difficult moment is when there are some real good and luxury projects and it is difficult to decide which one is the best. That's where I deal with the details of a project.
Q6. How do you approach the task of evaluating different entries from diverse regions and cultures in the iLuxury Awards?
I try to focus on the overall composition. If the composition is harmonious, it doesn't affect where each work is located.
Q7. In your opinion, what sets the iLuxury Awards apart from other industry recognition programs?
I think the difference is in the title of the awards. The word "Luxury" is what sets these awards apart.
Q8. Has being a judge for the iLuxury Awards influenced your own professional career or personal growth in any way? If yes, how?
It definitely motivates me to design more innovative spaces and more integrated and luxurious experiences in order to be one of the best. I want to be a part of this.
Q9. Can you share any advice or tips for future judges of the MUSE Hotel Awards/iLuxury Awards to ensure a fair and thorough evaluation process?
I would say that projects/products with bad presentations or photos should not be accepted. Secondly, it would be a good idea to evaluate projects/products without having personal Information about the people who apply for the award. That is, during the evaluation process you should not be given the name, website, etc. of the applicant so that you are able to evaluate without influence.
Q10. What excites you most about the future of the luxury hospitality industry based on what you've seen through the iLuxury Awards?
I cant wait to see and evaluate future projects. We all have to compete with our selves.
Q11. Have there been any specific entries or projects that you found particularly inspiring or innovative during your time as a judge for the iLuxury Awards?
Certainly, there were, but each creator has his own identity. That's what makes us different.
