I am Li Jiqian, the founder of BioTeraCare. With 30 years of deep engagement in the greater health sector, I have led multiple smart health management projects, focusing on “solving human health problems with scientific methods based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory.”
In 2024, we launched BioTeraCare, entering the sub-health management market with the “Slimming & Nourishing Light Fasting” concept. Our team activates herbal essences through microbial fermentation technology, combined with the Nobel Prize-winning theory of “cellular autophagy,” to create our “VitalQi” daily drink, which has served tens of thousands of users.
I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine in university and am familiar with TCM’s syndrome differentiation and treatment. The alarming sub-health issues faced by modern individuals due to high-intensity work, takeout-heavy diets, and staying up late motivated me to create a solution based on “cellular autophagy mechanisms & ancient TCM formulas.”
Our plan was to help users achieve healthy fat reduction and metabolic repair by activating the body’s self-purification system, combined with formulas based on the principle that food and medicine share the same origin. Thus, BioTeraCare was born. BioTeraCare has been validated through multiple batches of real user experiences: significant weight loss within 7 days, with an average reduction of 2.5–4 kg; many users reported a noticeable decrease in blood pressure levels; and improvements in mental state and digestive system function.
Last year, Ms. Zhang, a 32-year-old internet product manager, came to us. Long hours of sitting and irregular eating habits had led to fatty liver, weight gain, and poor sleep quality. After participating in the BioTeraCare program and undergoing a 7-day light fast, she lost a total of 6 kg, her upper abdominal circumference decreased by 8 cm, and her waist circumference by 6.8 cm.
A follow-up check showed her liver function indicators had returned to normal. In her thank-you letter, she wrote: "This wasn't just about losing 6 kg; it was about regaining control of my body's rhythm."
My creative inspiration stems from a concern for the sub-health status of modern people and a love for traditional Chinese culture. I hope to combine modern technology with TCM wisdom to create a product that not only meets contemporary health needs but also embodies TCM wellness philosophy, changing the stereotypical "medicinal" image of traditional wellness products and integrating wellness into daily life.
The message I want to convey is: health is a lifestyle attitude, and through scientific and reasonable methods, everyone can achieve physical and mental health and balance.
I liken the principle by which our product regulates human health to the "Faucet Theory." Our body contains a crucial pair of "faucets" – the energy intake system and the energy expenditure system. When we are young, the "intake faucet" (energy intake) is particularly active due to a robust metabolism, and the "outlet faucet" (energy expenditure) efficiently releases excess calories through exercise and basal metabolism, maintaining a light and energetic physique.
As we age, the flow from the "outlet faucet" is reduced by time, and the metabolic rate gradually slows down. Meanwhile, the "intake faucet" stealthily opens wider due to factors like dietary habits and living environment. Many people choose to control their diet to reduce high-calorie food intake, aiming to control weight and maintain health.
However, the "outlet faucet" is not entirely controlled by personal will; it is more regulated by the immune system. When the immune system detects reduced energy intake, it automatically adjusts energy expenditure levels to maintain bodily stability, reducing unnecessary output. The effect of BioTeraCare is to temporarily turn off the "intake faucet" and repair the "outlet faucet," restoring normal metabolism, which naturally leads to weight loss.
Recently, we launched a challenge called the "Slimming Bet." Customers interested in trying BioTeraCare gather 10 friends who also have weight loss goals, form a challenge group, announce their target, and invite others to witness their journey. If they succeed in reaching their goal, the group members celebrate by drinking BioTeraCare with them. If they fail, they give each group member 100 yuan as an "encouragement fund."
This format not only demonstrates confidence in the product’s effectiveness but also strongly encourages curiosity and participation among group members.
During the product development phase, precisely aligning ancient TCM formulas with modern technology was a significant challenge. It required repeated experimentation and formula adjustments to ensure the product not only delivered the wellness benefits of traditional TCM but also met modern tastes and health needs.
Additionally, in the early stages of market promotion, overcoming consumers' ingrained perceptions of traditional wellness products—and encouraging them to accept, recognize, and try BioTeraCare's innovative concept—was no easy feat.
Firstly, the health industry is comprehensive, encompassing various fields such as medical care, wellness, and health management to meet people's holistic health needs.
Secondly, personalization plays a significant role; everyone’s constitution and health status differ, requiring tailored health solutions.
Thirdly, prevention is key. As health awareness increases, people are placing more emphasis on disease prevention and daily health maintenance. As a result, the health industry is increasingly focused on helping individuals maintain a healthy state.
China’s health industry has a long history and holds the unique advantage of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Its philosophy of “treating diseases before they arise” and holistic conditioning methods provide a rich theoretical and practical foundation for the health industry. At the same time, China’s wellness culture is deeply rooted, and consumers have high acceptance of natural, green wellness products, indicating huge market potential.
Furthermore, China is continuously advancing in health technology innovation, achieving significant results in areas like smart health devices and internet healthcare, injecting new vitality into the innovative development of the health industry.
In the next 5-10 years, the health industry will develop towards being more intelligent, personalized, and preventive. With continuous technological advancement, smart health devices will become more widespread, enabling real-time monitoring and precise analysis of personal health data to support personalized health management.
Meanwhile, cutting-edge technologies like genetic testing and cell therapy will gradually be applied, aiding in disease prevention and treatment. Additionally, a closer integration of various sectors within the health industry will form a comprehensive, full-lifecycle health service ecosystem.
For those looking to improve their skills in the healthcare industry, I recommend the following resources: First, professional medical books and academic journals, such as classic medical texts like Huangdi Neijing (The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine) and Bencao Gangmu (Compendium of Materia Medica), as well as various professional medical magazines, which help in systematically learning medical knowledge and cutting-edge research.
Second, industry seminars and training courses: attending various medical academic conferences and professional skills training, exchanging ideas with experts and peers to enhance practical skills and clinical experience.
Third, online learning platforms, which offer abundant medical and health courses for learning during fragmented time.
Fourth, internship and practical opportunities in medical institutions or related enterprises, accumulating experience through actual work and integrating theoretical knowledge with practice.
I especially want to thank our users for their trust. There's a "Health Feedback" section in the BioTeraCare user group where many real testimonials are shared daily: some say they quit milk tea because of VitalQi, others share their joy after their check-up indicators returned to normal.
These stories constantly remind us that making health products is a matter of conscience. In the future, we will continue to be rooted in "Technology & Tradition," enabling every user to easily obtain a health plan suitable for them. This is our best response to the honor of the TITAN Health Awards.
