Martina Pr\u0161a began her photographic journey three years ago with a simple DSLR, only to uncover a natural gift for capturing presence and emotion. Today, her images, especially of horses, reflect her artistic curiosity and aim to inspire feelings of beauty, passion, and freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ever since I held my first camera, I was captivated by the act of taking photographs \u2014 little did I know back then that it would grow into such a passionate pursuit later in life. It has been about three years since I purchased my first DSLR, initially with the sole intention of photographing my arts and crafts products. However, almost immediately, I fell in love with photography itself and began teaching myself, eagerly absorbing all the knowledge I could.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a recreational rider in my spare time, I started by photographing horses, which remains my favourite field of photography to this day. I quickly realised I had an eye for capturing compelling images, and I began taking on occasional photoshoots while expanding my curiosity into other areas. Being an artist, I naturally began experimenting with different styles and creative approaches, especially during the editing process, exploring new ways to express my vision through photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am truly delighted and deeply honoured. I have been waiting for quite some time to see one of my photographs recognised, and receiving this acknowledgement reassures me that I am moving in the right direction as a photographer. The inspiration for this work came in the same way most of my creative ideas do \u2014 in the process of editing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While working through my photographs, I came across this particular image and instantly envisioned how I could transform it into something more artistic and abstract by merging it with other photographs. That is the moment when the artist in me truly comes alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I look at my photographs, I instinctively know which one is the right choice to submit. I simply trust my gut feeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As mentioned before, I initially wanted to use it to photograph the jewellery that I am making, but soon I discovered that my passion lies elsewhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favourite type of photography is equine photography. As both a rider and someone who deeply admires horses, I find nothing more beautiful than capturing the bond between a horse and a person. I especially value candid shots, as they truly preserve the authenticity of the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love working with my Canon EOS 90D and the Canon EF 70\u2013300mm F\/4\u20135.6 IS II USM sport lens, as they allow me to capture horses, wildlife, and nature scenes in great detail. Looking ahead, I hope to upgrade to a mirrorless camera with a lens offering a faster shutter speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I especially enjoy shooting in manual mode, as it gives me full control over every setting. What I appreciate most about Canon cameras is their overall interface \u2014 it simply feels intuitive and perfectly suited to my style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
