Driven by a fascination with how spaces shape human experience, Shuoqi Xiong designs architecture that connects people, culture, and nature. His work prioritizes sustainability and lasting impact, aiming to create environments that reflect identity while embracing innovation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Shuoqi Xiong Q1<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Thank you! I was inspired by a desire to share a vision of architecture that blends sustainability, culture, art, and technology. The NY Architectural Design Awards felt like the right platform to celebrate this approach and connect with a community that values thoughtful, forward-looking design.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The defining concept behind the project is creating a sustainable dialogue between people, nature, and technology. Designing spaces that not only serve functional needs but also inspire emotional connection and environmental responsibility.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Q2<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

My journey into architecture began with a deep curiosity about how spaces shape human experience. Growing up, I was fascinated by the way buildings could reflect culture, emotion, and innovation. This passion, combined with a desire to create environments that connect people and nature. Ultimately led me to pursue architecture as my life\u2019s work.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Our mission is to practice sustainable design across the environmental, cultural, artistic, and technological dimensions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

There were unexpected challenges, particularly in balancing sustainability goals with technical constraints. These challenges pushed us to rethink certain materials, construction methods. And spatial strategies, ultimately leading to a more refined, resilient, and innovative final design.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Q3<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

My design always starts with a simple idea with specific sustainable goals. With iterations of building form and context study. The final result will combine all investigations of structure, facade, material, furniture and landscape.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Exploration, experiment, and expansion.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

One of the most meaningful pieces of feedback was that the design felt both deeply connected to nature. And surprisingly intuitive to use. It was rewarding to hear that the emotional and functional aspects of the project resonated so strongly. Exactly as I had hoped to achieve.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
