Avi Singh is a seasoned UX Designer with 15 years of experience across diverse tech domains such as AI\/ML, Robotics, Human Resources, and more, currently excelling as a Staff Product Designer, leading enterprise AI solutions and delivering impactful products like Brief Me, a 0-to-1 product he drove from concept to completion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q1. Please give us a brief bio of yourself and your background.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


I am a UX Designer with 15 years of experience in design. I have worked across a variety of domains within the technology space, including AI\/ML, Robotics, Human Resources, Industrial Automation, Travel, and Retail. Currently, as a Staff Product Designer working on AI products for enterprises, I gain valuable insights into different AI applications and models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve already delivered three products, including Brief Me, a 0-to-1 product that I led from start to finish. Before transitioning into technology product design, I earned my Master’s in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Human Factors from North Carolina State University. I am also a reviewer for IEEE and ACM human factors research papers and a sought-after mentor on ADPlist.org.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q2. What made you become\/why did you choose to become a product designer?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have always been fascinated by designers’ ability to create a vision for any product, solving day-to-day problems or addressing issues that users didn\u2019t even realize existed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designers are always at the forefront of technological evolution, which keeps me designing continuously. My interests lie in SaaS and mobile product design. These days, I am designing the next big thing in human-AI collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q3, Tell us more about your business \/ company \/ job profile and what you do.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My job profile is designing enterprise AI products. I accomplish this by studying how users use our products and what mental models they have that can be leveraged to solve their problems. My designed AI and SaaS products are available across the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I design and conduct user research for the products I work on. This includes thinking strategically about the products and their future 6 to 12-month timelines, as well as creating plans for myself and other designers to follow. I also review the work of other junior designers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q4. What does \u201cdesign\u201d mean to you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Design means solving users’ challenges and making their lives easier. It is also about ensuring users are happy with the products I design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q5. What\u2019s your favorite kind of design and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favorite kind of design is crafting solutions that are intuitive for end users and delight them. These solutions align with what users know and make them masters of what they do best. The best designs turn the people using these products into heroes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
