The Winning Prize P1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Winning Prize is a study in contrasts took by Michelle Valberg. A Canadian nature and wildlife photographer who has documented Canada’s landscapes and wildlife, especially the Arctic. The bird\u2019s dark plumage stands out against the pale, washed-out sky, an unrelenting force against an indifferent backdrop. The sharp edges of its wings, each feather meticulously defined, create a dramatic frame around the stolen prize. The egg, a fragile sphere of life, is clutch with an unsettling lightness.
