Tammy Fernos, event manager at Exhibit Craft, is a lifelong creative with a passion for designing unforgettable experiences. With expertise in event design and management, she transforms ideas into moments that captivate and inspire. Exhibit Craft helps companies maximize their trade show and event investments.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q1. Please give us a brief bio of yourself and your creative background.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re the DentaPal team, a passionate group of designers\/researchers\/writers, and dental enthusiasts who came together to revolutionize the dental care experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our backgrounds are diverse, ranging from HCI, sociology, and humanities. But we share a common goal: to make oral healthcare more accessible, less intimidating, and truly patient-centric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q2. What made you become\/why did you choose to become a creative?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We believe creativity, especially design, has the power to solve real-world problems and improve lives. We were drawn to the creative field because it allows us to combine our passion for technology, design, and healthcare to make a meaningful impact\u2014one smile at a time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q3. Tell us more about your business\/company, job profile and what you do.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zhixian<\/strong>: I designed workflows and interfaces to optimize the telehealth experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Xinyuan<\/strong>: I’m a UX writer who transformed complex workflows into user-friendly experiences with a focus on clarity and empathy. Bonus: I’m also a VR table tennis champion!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kaidi<\/strong>: I’m a full-stack product designer and a student in Indiana University\u2019s renowned HCI\/d program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Szu-Chin<\/strong>: I’m a product designer specializing in data visualization, simplifying complex workflows, and enhancing usability in litigation and business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zhaodi<\/strong>: I’m a PhD candidate in sociology at Indiana University. My research uses mixed methods to study online public engagement and the mechanisms shaping digital inequality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q4. What’s your favorite part of the creative process and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To us, creativity is about finding innovative solutions to challenges, thinking outside the box, and pushing boundaries. It’s about combining empathy and imagination to create something new and meaningful that improves people’s lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q5. To you, what makes a ‘creative’ idea and\/or design? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A creative idea or design is one that is original, impactful, and user-centered. It solves a real problem, resonates with its audience, and sparks a sense of delight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essentially it means that when it doesn\u2019t look or feel right, we\u2019ll go an extra mile to find a solution, and not give up on addressing the opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
