I am Xinchen Li, an artist and designer specialising in metalsmithing, jewellery design, and installation art. My journey began in computer science, but I transitioned into the arts, captivated by the potential of materials and the act of making. My work often draws on themes of nostalgia, cultural heritage, and the interplay between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I became an artist because of my fascination with how materials can hold and tell stories. The transition from computer science to art was driven by my need to explore creative freedom and my love for transforming everyday objects into meaningful, tangible pieces of art. It is my way of connecting with people through visual storytelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, I work as a multidisciplinary artist and designer, creating wearable art, installations, and jewellery. My practice combines metalsmithing techniques, 3D printing, and innovative material use. I also teach art workshops to foster creativity and inspire others to explore their artistic potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Design is a bridge between functionality and artistry. It\u2019s about creating objects or experiences that resonate emotionally, solve problems, and enhance our connection to the world around us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love designs that integrate personal narratives with innovative materials. My favourite designs often blur the line between art and utility, offering both aesthetic value and meaningful stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
