Lisa is a native of Los Angeles, she spent a year traveling through the Western United States. Not only she is a photographer, but also an author of a few published books. Her international travels have found her exploring 30 cities in both Europe and South America. Lisa\u2019s photography focuses on nature and landscapes of the Western United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I’m a native of Los Angeles and have lived in various points in California and Washington State. Enjoy hiking and snowshoeing in the mountains, European-style architecture, and learning about other cultures. I have a strong interest in the environment and human rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love to travel as I spent six months traveling through the Western United States. My international travels include exploring 30 cities in both Europe and South America. I recently traveled to New Zealand and Fiji for the first time in that part of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before I was born, my father was a working photographer, so the concept of photography has always been in my life. I carried a point-and-shoot film camera during high school and captured photos of my friends in the late 1980s. I’ve always taken photos but finally got serious about learning photography in October 2021 after seeing a spectacular sunset lenticular cloud formation around Mount Shasta at the top of California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve learned from various people online through YouTube, e-courses, and books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m still finding my voice in photography. In 2024, I’m looking forward to learning more about photography, what opportunities are out there, and exploring my interests. I hope in the future that I can create photography projects around environmental conservation, underwater photography, human rights – specifically the migration of people and Indigenous communities, and the beauty of this planet and its people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I encourage everyone to pursue whatever their hearts desire. Don’t limit your thinking of what is possible. Every little step in the process is a step forward. Thank you to the MUSE Photography Awards and IAA for recognizing my photo in this contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
