Nicole Maria Oestreich is a self-taught photographer who has rediscovered her love for the craft. Currently, she is enrolled in a distance photography school and plans to earn a certificate for her performance. Nicole’s goal is to use her photography to reach and inspire others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q1. Can you introduce yourself and talk about how you got into photography?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hi, my name is Nicole Maria Oestreich. I discovered my love for photography as a child. Due to various circumstances, I lost my love for a while. But I found it again a long time ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q2. Where did you study photography?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I taught myself everything I know about photography through self-study. I am currently taking a course at a distance photography school, which I started in October to get a lecturer’s opinion on my photography. And to get a certificate for my performance in the course<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q3. Do you remember your first shot? What was it?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first photo I took in my life was when I was about 5 years old, my Barbie with her Ken in the Barbie car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q4. What equipment do you use?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the moment, I still use the Panasonic LUMIX G85, a travel camera backpack, two lenses, a couple of ND filters, a pro-mist filter, and some extra batteries. I\u2019m going to get an additional camera soon. Until recently, I mostly shot videos with the G85. I’ve got about 7 terabytes of footage that I haven’t had time to look through sitting on a couple of hard drives. It was great to have because of its ability to work in 4K while still being affordable for where I was in life at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
