Inspired by Yu-Shan Liu’s parents, seasoned interior designers with more than thirty years of expertise in residential interior design, he chose to emulate their path and become part of their professional journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q1. Please give us a brief bio of yourself and your design background.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the conclusion of my short-term position in the United States and completing my Master’s in interior design, I joined my parents in their company. In this role, my responsibilities include producing both renders and technical drawings, conducting measurements and surveys, and interacting with clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, working alongside them has been instrumental in honing a spectrum of both soft and hard skills, shaping me into a well-rounded professional in the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q2. What made you become\/why did you choose to become a designer\/artist?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motivated by my parents who are professional interior designers with over three decades of experience specializing in residential interior design, I decided to follow in their footsteps and join them in their professional endeavors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q3. Tell us more about your business\/company, job profile, and what you do.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specializing in both residential and commercial space design, our company distinguishes itself through meticulous attention to detail. We pride ourselves on delivering unparalleled creativity, rigorous design, and exceptional services to our clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q4. What does \u201cdesign\u201d mean to you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Design is the art of crafting something that goes beyond mere functionality, extending into the realm of aesthetic delight. A successful design achieves a harmonious balance between form and function, fundamentally transforming the daily lives of individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q5<\/strong>. To you, what makes a \u201cgood\u201d design?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A quality design enhances the human experience, leaving a positive impact on lives. It is characterized by the seamless blend of aesthetic appeal and functional efficiency, fulfilling its intended purpose for the client. In my view, the true measure of a successful design lies not only in accolades but in the effective resolution of the client’s challenges or needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q6. Tell us about your design process.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a thorough site visit, our design journey commenced with the collection of inspirational images and the formulation of zonal plans. Collaborating closely with our clients, we finalized a floor plan, which served as the foundation for crafting a 3D model using tools like Sketchup or 3ds Max for rendering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With client approval of the visual concepts, our focus shifted to the meticulous creation of detailed technical drawings essential for the construction phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q7. Do you think your country and its cultural heritage has an impact of your design process?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While there may be variations, I believe the design process in interior design generally follows a standard framework across different projects no matter the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winning Entry<\/p>\n\n\n\n
