Interview with the The 2022 MUSE Creative Awards Winner \u2013 the Oliver Wyman Team<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q1. Please give us a brief bio of yourself and your creative background.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Weronika) We are a diverse group of people who use creative thinking and technology to deliver impactful, visual and user-centered digital solutions. We come from different backgrounds and cultures but what divides us also unites us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q2. What made you become\/why did you choose to become a creative?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Karolina) Being creative is a challenge, the best ideas are sometimes born at the most unexpected moments. Developing and keeping your head open to new ideas constantly is crucial. In my case, the trigger for joining the creative industry was to express myself. I wanted to create something that would be mine, unique, and meet certain expectations. And then I realized the enormous possibilities we have. I surround myself with people who inspire me daily, show me completely different points of view, and make me start looking at things in a completely different way, discovering and getting to know things anew. I attend many creative courses, I am learning all the time, and looking for inspiration. And I love it! One of the most satisfying things about being creative is delivering a product that meets the expectations, is functional, pleasing to the eye, and useful. A great fulfillment for the creator!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q3. Tell us more about your business\/company, job profile, and what you do.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Lydia) We are working in a matured in-house design team. I am a Senior UX Designer where that my job profile is based on a core to prioritize the user. My stream of workflows usually includes massive research and some interviews, to find out the target audiences’ problems, goals and needs. Thus, further leading to proposing intuitive UX solutions, for example wireframes and web prototypes, in order to shape a seamless user experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q4. What does \u201ccreativity\u201d mean to you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Wai Leong) Creativity to me means trying to make something out of nothing and produce a very great product. Some other definitions of creativity, at least for me – Having 100 ideas but only using 5 of them; Thinking out-of-the-box; Understanding another person’s POV and learning about the definition behind their opinions; Also, not to be afraid to voice out your ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q5. What’s your favorite part of the creative process and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Lydia) My favorite part of the creative process is the usability test with web prototypes. Usability test during low-fidelity prototype phase is a great way to collect feedbacks, knowing our users’ concerns and hiccups. We are concerned about our user needs, it is interesting and eye opening to find out if something works out or not. The process gives me a clear head and affirmation about the next UX iteration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
