Returning with another hit on their hands, Focus Entertainment and Asobo Studio is hellbent on delivering the game of the century to an anticipative audience!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are unfamiliar with this game, A Plague Tale: Requiem is after six months after A Plague Tale: Innocence. Tells the story of two siblings, Amicia and Hugo de Runes who is escaping the soldiers. And a mischief of rats that threatens the world in spreading the Black Plague. All while searching for the cure for an illness that runs in Hugo\u2019s veins, a malicious Macula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set in the 14th<\/sup> century France, the audience is welcomed with the familiar duo. Both whom have grown much in the past six months. Amicia now has settled into her role as Hugo\u2019s protector who is now able to stealth her way through enemies. She can distract or knock solders unconscious, bypass hordes of infectious rats that carries the Black Plague. She also solves intricate puzzles. Whereas, Hugo who has a profound connection to the plague is able to use an ability called \u2018Echo\u2019 . Where he is can reveal the locations of enemies, controls hordes upon hordes of rats to overwhelm enemies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With another riveting plot that hooked the players in the first game, players will explore the beautiful relationship of siblings. In a continued search for a cure accompanied with an intriguing gameplay and arresting visuals that only enhances the experience. The audience could not have asked for more! Focus Entertainment and Asobo Studio truly delivered a game that amazed its audience once again. With new characters that the player meets along the way and unravel the strange power Hugo possess. In addition to that, your allies can aid you in defeating enemies with their special abilities that will influence your stealth strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let go of all expectations of playing an upbeat game because chances are. The players would not find solace in here. Requiem is triple if not quadruple times quadruple in being grim as the siblings brace a journey like no other. With great conviction as the world unearths its worst before them. Having to see the people they once hold dear meet tragic fates. A box of tissues would not be able to save the player from such a grim fate. But seeing through the game will provide some closure!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The developers of the game went through extreme lengths to ensure every scene is authentic, going as far as to collaborate with Roxane Chila, a doctor in Medieval History and referred to several publications enhance the gameplay further. Players would also notice that the color palette of Requiem is different, taking on a dreary war-infested setting of Aquitaine and Provence. Taking it further, the rats have only grown immensely as it covers the screen dark with its staggering numbers that is very capable of taking down buildings and an entire village!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With such a success, both developer and publisher are elated to welcome a Grand Winner in their shelf of accolades from the 2023 NYX Game Awards under the categories of Microsoft Xbox Game \u2013 Best Performance, Best Music, Game Video \u2013 Music Video, Microsoft Xbox Game \u2013 Best Narrative, Game Design \u2013 Storyline and Game Strategic Campaign \u2013 Event Campaign! It upped the ante into assuming the role of the best Microsoft Xbox Game with a riveting gameplay that tugs the player\u2019s heartstrings, compelling them to find comfort in the heart-warming relationship between siblings. The player\u2019s role as Hugo\u2019s sole protector that is vehement in defending him and the weight of responsibility in providing a better world for the country is ultimately realized in the best way possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
