Peter Voss travels to Olgii which is located in West Mongolia and captured a transfixing masterpiece of a child and its partner, a majestic eagle native to Mongolia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter Voss, a German amateur photographer won the 2022 New York Photography Awards\u2019s highest achievement – the 2022 Photographer of the Year. The transcendent photograph of a child with a large regal eagle that rests on the child\u2019s arm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young Eagle Champion was taken in Olgii that lies in West Mongolia where children learn to start using huge eagles for hunting foxes and hares at the sprightly age of 13 years old as eagle hunting is an ancient custom in Kazakh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The relationship between the child and eagle fosters when the eagle was a wee eaglet and the image symbolizes a trusted bond between the two – the amount of trust in one another is confounding as they practice an ancient Mongolian tradition together. The child looks to the photographer with a bright smile and the majestic eagle has eyes only for the child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exquisite photograph refined skills of Voss to accentuate and translate the story of an ancient tradition that dates back to 3-4 century B.C and the background of the image also pressed how incredibly raw and untouched these part of the lands as it resides in the deep west of Mongolia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
