With inauguration of the London Photography category, the 2022 London Photography Awards proceeds to assume the roles of an international medium that receives the best of images. Even as a country-specific category, there are no limitations to the origins of submitted entries. On the other hand, all photographers are invited to enter their creations, regardless of categories, and resulted in an extensive range of winners. Alpha Gaze l Ralph Lightman<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This image itself shouts wildlife, as the hands behind this dominant image, Ralph Lightman took the opportunity to capture an Osprey on the hunt. Just a single gaze is enough to determine its\u2019 dominance as a mature alpha male, as seen from its\u2019 sharp and determined gazes. You would not want to be on the end of its\u2019 claws, especially when you see the display of alpha male traits right through the eyes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kyra \u2013 A beautiful map of stars l Sane Seven<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wanting to spread awareness of underrepresented communities, Sane Seven entered their art piece of Kyra, who they deem a success story. A singer and also a model, she was diagnosed with a rare skin condition that goes by the name of vitiligo. It\u2019s so uncommon that only 1% of the population is affected with this, and words cannot express the damage it can bring psychologically. Fortunately, she was able to accept it for who she was, and it was an inspiring take on positivity. Making her body look like a beautiful map of stars, Sane Seven intends to spread her inspiration and success to young girls and any who face the same difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LONDONERS AND THEIR ENVIRONMENTS l Alexandro Pelaez<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This series of photographs is produced using double exposure, fully focusing on the different streets and areas within London. Capturing the surroundings and locations of common Londoners, Alexandro created landmarks of his own, by freezing the way they pass through at work. With his 35mm and 120mm film cameras, he utilizes his own way and style in capturing the true essences of a city or area, while the double exposure allows him to capture all that he wants, while taking them to different levels, giving the viewer a magical, almost surreal, perspective and sense of unnatural futurism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Palette Series l Ikka Mirabelli<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Palette Series, a photographic portrait project was initiated way back in 2020, and continues to expand into a large creation that holds quite the number of interesting pieces. The entire project was an experiment of colours and post production, which explores different, unique and multicoloured worlds in a narrative manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apes from Uganda l Pablo Trilles<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pablo took this image back on 8th<\/sup> August 2021, during a trek in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda. This was a special encounter with a Mother and Baby Eastern Mountain Gorillas, where they just walked right over and used Pablos\u2019 leg as a chair. This was a very rare experience between nature and men, and resulted in this resonating image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
