Interview With The 2022 New York Product Design Awards Winner \u2013 Lucille Huang<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q1. Please give us a brief bio of yourself and your background.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before entering the design industry, I studied psychology and marketing and worked in marketing and business. I attended Consumer Electronics Show every year, an annual trade show featuring inventions and new technology, and was inspired to change my career path from business to a focus in design. I started researching, studying, and using my skills in psychology and business to develop solutions to people\u2019s design problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a designer, my mission is to use my creativity and privilege to develop ethical designs, share positive thinking, and humanize the experiences of valuable solutions through designs that make people happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q2. What made you become\/why did you choose to become a product designer?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I became a product designer because I love exploring the possibilities of design, discovering new solutions driven by technology, and thinking about why it happens, how to do it, when, where to use it, what is and who will use it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q3. Tell us more about your business\/company, job profile, and what you do<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am currently independent. I successfully changed my career path from marketing to design, built up an Enterprise platform for LearningPal last year, completed a master\u2019s program in Interaction and UI\/UX Design, and won professional design awards. I love to explore the arts, new innovations, minimalist and modern product design, and technology in my free time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Q4. What does \u201cdesign\u201d mean to you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Design can define problems and offer all-encompassing solutions that can be easily integrated into our everyday lives, whether in software, hardware, or a combination of forms. Most importantly, the design encourages creative and critical thinking and communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEUROME is a conceptual, combined dashboard-style software and a device-based EEG that detects users’ emotions, behavior\u2026(read more at New York Product Design Awards<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
