With Traces, it seems that the art of tailoring is back. Inspired by both oriental and Western elements, this collection might just be the one for all haute couture fashionistas out there.
The multi-layered garments is a product of digital printing, digital embroidery, and elastic material weaving, creating conscious, layered textiles that represents the constraint of the Chinese culture.
The concept goes against the mass production values of fast fashion, and brings back the craftsmanship with a contemporary aesthetic.
The designers at Rong Yue Studios used digital images to develop new shapes and different fabric manipulations, creating new innovative flows around the dresses.
This collection has won the Platinum Winner in the MUSE Design Awards, further cementing its critical acclaim in the international haute couture community. Pretty great, right?
