1Congratulations on your achievement! What inspired you to submit this project for the NY Architectural Design Awards?
Thank you! I was inspired by a desire to share a vision of architecture that blends sustainability, culture, art, and technology. The NY Architectural Design Awards felt like the right platform to celebrate this approach and connect with a community that values thoughtful, forward-looking design.
2What is the defining concept or vision behind your award-winning project?
The defining concept behind the project is creating a sustainable dialogue between people, nature, and technology — designing spaces that not only serve functional needs but also inspire emotional connection and environmental responsibility.
3Could you briefly share your journey into architecture and what inspired you to pursue this field?
My journey into architecture began with a deep curiosity about how spaces shape human experience. Growing up, I was fascinated by the way buildings could reflect culture, emotion, and innovation. This passion, combined with a desire to create environments that connect people and nature, ultimately led me to pursue architecture as my life’s work.
4How would you describe the mission or goals of your company or studio?
Our mission is to practice sustainable design across the environmental, cultural, artistic, and technological dimensions.
5Were there any unexpected challenges during the design or construction phases? How did they shape the final result?
There were unexpected challenges, particularly in balancing sustainability goals with technical constraints. These challenges pushed us to rethink certain materials, construction methods, and spatial strategies, ultimately leading to a more refined, resilient, and innovative final design.
6How does your design process usually unfold-from ideation to completion?
My design always starts with a simple idea with specific sustainable goals. With iterations of building form and context study, the final result will combine all investigations of structure, facade, material, furniture and landscape.
7If you had to describe the journey of this project in three words, what would they be?
Exploration, experiment, and expansion.
8What feedback have you received about your work that has been particularly meaningful or surprising
One of the most meaningful pieces of feedback was that the design felt both deeply connected to nature and surprisingly intuitive to use. It was rewarding to hear that the emotional and functional aspects of the project resonated so strongly, exactly as I had hoped to achieve.
9What does receiving this recognition mean for you, your team, or your studio?
Receiving this recognition is a meaningful affirmation of our values and vision. It motivates us to keep pushing boundaries in sustainable design and strengthens our commitment to creating work that connects people, nature, and innovation.
10How do you see this award influencing your future projects or career?
Winning this award reinforces my belief in the direction of my work and encourages me to keep exploring new ideas. It gives me greater confidence to pursue more ambitious projects and helps position my studio on a larger international stage.
11What's a project or idea you've been dreaming of bringing to life, and why does it inspire you?
I’ve always dreamed of creating a sustainable public space that combines green architecture, renewable energy, and smart technology. It inspires me because it blends social impact with environmental responsibility, creating a lasting positive change in how we connect with our surroundings.
12Where do you see the architectural field heading in the next decade, and how do you envision contributing to its evolution?
In the next decade, I see architecture evolving towards even greater sustainability and integration with advanced technologies, including AI, to optimize design processes, material usage, and energy efficiency.
As we face climate challenges, the industry will prioritize carbon-neutral, resilient designs. I envision contributing by incorporating AI tools to create more responsive, adaptive designs that minimize environmental impact, while pushing the boundaries of how architecture can interact with both nature and technology.
13How do you see your designs contributing to the future of sustainable architecture?
I see my designs contributing by creating spaces that harmonize with their environment, celebrate cultural identity, and embrace innovative technologies. By focusing on long-term impact rather than short-term trends, I hope to set new standards for sustainable, human-centered architecture.
14If you could design anything, with no limits on budget or imagination, what would it be?
A floating unit that could help human beings navigate through the universe.
