In the current century where property buildings are thriving across the world, decorations and designs have slowly entered the eyesight of the people.

The rise of construction has led to the decrease of greenery in our surroundings, which in turn, made way for the birth of landscape designs. Incorporating flora elements, the combination of the works of men and nature has proven to be a perfect match, and here are some of the best examples present in the 2022 TITAN Property Awards.

The Tenth of a Second When Seawater Hits the Rocks | HID

Located in the Life Science City in the Fangqiao block of Fenghua District, Ningbo, the property itself is just within a 30km distance from the nearest coastline. As a demonstration model of the industry-city integration, it serves as a land of investment with no form of restrictions available. With the developers utilizing the perspective of modern art, the entire project uses the 0.1 second impact between sea water and the mountains as the starting point, art as the tool, light and shadows being the main objects, and life as the final goal. Experimental and ambitious, the design freezes the splintering moment when the sea water hits the rocks, reforming the fragments into a coherent structure.

Zhengzhou Sunac Longfu Urban Life Hall | MEDG

Situated in the core area of the north district of Zhengzhou, China, Zhengzhou Sunac Longfu Urban Life Hall adapts the design concept of pine. Taking space to another level of abstract meaning, the designers plan to create unbounded aesthetics of life even in a limited space. The pines are a definition of each area with oriental artistic conception, with different utilizations of landscape design techniques, including contrasting, leaking, and borrowing. Expansive grassing terrains, surrounded by mountains and rivers, among the shadows of the trees, are interpreted in different landscape atmospheres. Contemplating a picture scroll, visitors are able to experience the beauty of life, while enjoying the leisurely modern urban lifestyle.

Changzhou Qifengshan Guiyiyuan | FSY TianQuan Design

Taking on the form of a butterfly flapping its’ wings, the designers have borrowed traditional Chinese gardening methods of “building mountains, managing water, and stacking stones”. From an upper perspective, the wings of the butterflies are designed as walkways, while the landscape's central axis is set directly in the middle. Filled with deep meanings and arrangements of “feng shui”, the design breaks the gloomy and depressing sequence of traditional cemeteries. Dividing the space through the garden groups, the foreground of tombstones adopts the greening scenery of sand and stone combined with colorful flowers. Ultimately, the four theme nodes of chasing butterflies, remembrance, glimpsing and mountains build up poetry with oriental aesthetics.
