Following up on the previous article, the 2022 London Photography Awards has witnessed the emergence of shutterbugs with their exceptional skills through their cameras. Modern Monoliths | Emiliano Pinnizzotto
Ancient Monoliths are often immense, imposing, and magnificent. They are not your ordinary stones, as they were built by human ancestors by lifting them from the ground, which is no easy task, while sculpting and moulding them to perfection, before placing them in a sacred location chosen as an indelible mark of their passage on Earth. At our current times, these monoliths were worshipped as prehistoric works of art and sacred divinities. Through the lens of Emiliano, monoliths are redefined to become wonders of architectural works, with modern structures like cities, palaces, bridges or museums becoming modern monoliths.
Ether | Dillon Richardson
Expressing their interest towards Fine Art Photography, Dillon Richardson and his wife, Ellie Rich are extremely fascinated by letting loose their creative imaginations. You can depict from the image with Ellie being the centre of focus, with dark waters surrounding her, creating endless motions of waves. The image felt like a beautiful dream that only exists in the mind, transforming the moment into something magical and surreal.
The Boys and The Goats | Gajan Tharmabalan
Taken just a few hours west of Marrakech, Gajan photographed the boys inside the image who represent an enduring Berber community that got through the global pandemic. Inside the image, goats can be seen sitting atop the boys, signifying their importance towards the family and their future. With tourism breaking down in that part of the country, so does further access to clean water, housing, and education, which caused additional suffering. As such, the goats serve a greater purpose in leading them forward and provide them with hope.
Hutch Sofa | Sane Seven
This duo has already showered their audience with creative images all the while, and this time their main subject is Hutch Sofa, a new D2C player in the sofa market. What makes this sofa so different is that it is completely hand made in the United Kingdom. Additionally, it is also customisable to suit your own preferences, while carrying elements of comfort and style within a single box.
